>The Wyrm had no concept of death, merely of transformation, so the whyrm transformed from a huge creature who relied on premonition and brute force into a small creature who relied on his enormous inteligence, this id the birth of who's going to be known as the Pale King >The moth tribe found a way to bring the creature down even if of monstrous size and made of a material that surpassed the hardness of anything known (my guess is that the Radiance tricked it into gobling up part of the abyss who ruptured the Wyrm from the inside, notice that the Wyrm corpse is broken in half) >The Wyrm not sensing danger comes into Hallownest devouring anything in it's path, creating a huge breach in what will later be King's Pass. >The Whyrm had a power of premonition linked with the dream world

>The radiance also discovered that the abyss had a mind of it's own but couldn't influence it because to vast/powerfull placing it at the polar opposite of the moths, this "Ancient Enemy" is passive and doesn't try to actvely attack or seek out other living forms unless they got too close.

>This monarchy lived peacefully not even needing weapons since any and every war or dispute could be solved by Radiance's intervention. >Still is unknown how the Radiance treated her subjects, but is known that altough the other moths deeply respected her, the tribe still feared that one day she could have enslaved them too. >After an undetermined ammount of time we find the moths led by their brilliant and powerfull queen called The Radiance who holds almost the entirety of the dreamworld and has amplified the strenght of her manipulation to a point that almost resembles mind control. >Little by little the moth tribe got a hold of all Hallownest marking the end of the ancient civilization.
HOLLOW KNIGHT THE HOLLOW KNIGHT RESIDENCE HOW TO
>while very difficult to recreate in the real world in the Dream World light can br created in immense ammount almost at will by the moths that know how to navigate and influence dreams, giving the bugs of hallownest theur ideal Dream World In excange of their services >Later they discovered how to ineract with other bugs personal Dream World and that there is a strange reaction (similar to drug addiction) in insects exposed to light. >The Moth tribe discovered a parallel world based on insects dreams and psyche and learned how to manipulate it, this parallel world is called the "Dream World" >either came from elsewere or already part of the Ancient Civilization the Moth Tribe found it's way into Hallownest. >A giant slug named Unn (by someone unknown) was born and rests into an acid lake in what will be Greenpath >Later he left searching for other places to colonize. Mushrom showed up (either because he was waiting or passing by) using spores to colonize the parts of what will later be Hallownest that could fit his kin's life. >In the last moments of the Ancient Civilization's age Mr. >Somewhere around this time Grimm's torch was placed. >Not much is known about this civilization social organizzation. >This civilization seems very advanced in some fields while very primitive in others >at a certain point soul was used to gain some control over the abyss, failing and making the abyss "alive". >This civilization had a form of written language the black eggs are what remain of that ancient language >This civilization was proficent in the use of soul essence/energy and created the soul giving statues you see through all the game. >A civilization residing near the general location of hallownest prior to the passage of the Whyrm. >The abyss in this game is what fossil fuels are to the real world, insect corpses trapped beneath a layer of earth that melted togheter forming a homogeneus back goup.

>The fallen civilizations are what (or to be more precis the individuals who) composes the Abyss.
